If you entered and your name doesn't appear in the above list, you forgot to do something on the Rafflecopter OR you sent me a print only book (which I cannot sample). Only those authors with three entries on the excel form made it into this list. If you only left your book pitch and link in the comments, I didn't pick it up. You gotta fill out the form.
Remember, every book that's pitched stays in until the end! I'll announce a new choice every day. If you're an author, be sure you're following along each day to get a new way to join me on social media (this will matter when your review goes up). You can enter a book each day if you come back and fill out the new Rafflecopter form.
Now for the winner announcement for the prizes!

Congrats! How exciting is that? I'll be in touch with you sometime today to find out how to get you guys your prize.
Time to announce the next book that's been added to the review pile for 2014!

CONGRATS! Your book has been shared, tweeted, pinned, and added to my Goodreads TBR list for this contest.
From now until day 12, that book will be recognized with an * after the title when I do my rundown.
**Kindly remember there's no guarantee your book will be reviewed by me. You did get a purchase and I'll try my best to read it. But if I find I can't give it more than 2 stars, I won't write the review.**
It's time for today's widget!

Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteThat was a good question. Covers are eye candy for readers. There's nothing better than strolling the aisles of a book store. It's like attending an art show.
Good Morning, L. K.!
DeleteThanks! There are few things in this world that make me as relaxed as walking through a book store does. I love it! Total agreement with you on this one :) Thanks for popping over and saying hello again :) Always lovely to see you!
Jo, I’m quite impressed by the uniqueness of this giveaway and your dedication to reviewing Indie authors. Here’s my pitch:
ReplyDeleteThe Strange Marriage of Anne de Bourgh is a lightly humorous Regency romp for fans of Jane Austen’s classic Pride and Prejudice. This collection contains the title novella as well as three additional P&P-inspired short stories. When Mr. Collins leaves his living at Rosings for a higher (or at least more lucrative) calling, a lascivious new rector takes his place. Mr. Darcy fears this handsome man of the cloth may have designs on his sickly cousin Anne, and he races to rescue her from a fate worse than death: marriage. I’ve written two other commercially published novel-length sequels to Pride and Prejudice, but this is my first indie adventure in the genre. Reader’s Favorite said that the “story line is etched well and all the characters are perfectly described...The twist at the end makes the read exciting.” Austenesque reviews said, “As always, Ms. Burris's representation of Austen characters is flawless and her new additions are well-drawn and intriguing.” I’d love to hear what you have to say! Awesome! Welcome, Skylar! Be sure you get into the Rafflecopter form! :) I love P&P! Looking forward to grabbing your sample. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving some blog love and a pitch. :)
DeleteOn the question of my favorite thing to see on a cover, I put other, because I frankly like clean covers with little more than the title and author’s name. I’m probably alone in that. Maybe it comes from having grown up in a home with so many hardback, slipcover-less classics lying around. They all had just some gold trim at most, and a solid color cover (often neutral colored!) .
DeleteOh man, you're gonna love the cover I have in the works for M, my YA Urban Fiction title :) I like clean, too. But they just don't sell as well usually. We'll see :) Call it a test. LOL
DeleteYes, as much as I like it, I don't think clean sells well, unfortunately, particularly not in genre categories. It will be interesting to see what your sales are like compared to your other books. Who knows! Glad you are braving the experiment. I think good-looking people probably sell best on covers. :)
DeleteGreat! I won in the rafflecopter! xD
ReplyDeleteAlready pitched my book...but if you like to cry, it's also apparently really good for that :) So that's a good reason in a way? :D
Love the giveaway Jo...I hope you're having a wonderful day!
Congratulations :) I'll be contacting winners from yesterday here in a little while. :) I do like books that make me cry. Shows I was invested in the characters. Thanks for popping back by, C. S.!!
DeleteI've been following your blog almost a week now. I like the way you're doing this! Since I've already pitched my book, can I also be entered for the giveaway, too?
ReplyDeleteYes you can, Elle! Every day I have some great prizes up for grabs :) Thanks for the compliment!! I'm glad you're loving it. I'm having a blast!
DeleteVery interesting method to get yourself and other indie authors out there!
ReplyDeleteMy book, Dark Luminance, has everything you could want, parallel universes, mutants, zombies, and a psychopathic madman!
You won't want to miss a minute as Mackland Luther and his friends try to overcome all of this and more in their attempt to get back to their own universe!
Hope you get a chance to take a look at it, and good luck with the rest of your promotion!
Thanks for the compliment, Erin. I do try to pay it forward this time of year. Dark Luminance sounds awesome. I grabbed your sample! I can't wait to dig in :) Welcome to the blog (and the crazy fray) and thanks for pitching!!
DeleteFinnegan's Quest is a metaphorical fantasy I'd like you to review. It's somewhat in the realm of Animal Farm, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and Watership Down. A young fox seeks a guru and experiences adventures that are based on the foibles of society.
ReplyDeleteHellooooooo, Gloria!! I snagged your sample. I thought the cover was very intriguing. :) You just named a bunch of my favorite books. Welcome to the blog and thanks SO much for the pitch! Looking forward to it.
DeleteI pitched my book yesterday and won a copy of yours--that was quick!
ReplyDeleteThanks for running this contest and for supporting Indie Authors!
B
Congratulations on the win :) Just wait! The Indie Author's Guide is coming up here in a few days. You don't wanna miss that one. Glad to see you back, Beth :) You were the P&P spinoff I'm so excited to start :) hehe
DeleteThank you <3 So excited! I think you'll like it :D
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :) I liked the sample so you're off to a great start!! So good to see you, Felicia!
DeleteHi Jo, Here is a blurb for my book, The Hitman: A Short Story.
ReplyDeleteWhen an average nine-to-fiver catches his wife in bed with another man, not only does he looses his mind but he cut his losses and embarks upon a new life. With his heart turned cold, The Hitman is faced with the challenges of saving a reputed state official's political career as well as keeping a crime lord out of jail by ensuring that a witness doesn't make it to the courtroom. The Hitman is a fast-paced, action-packed thrill ride.
Peprah, welcome back. :) Your book sounds amazing. I may or may not have read the sample already ;) hehe You'll have to stick around to find out.
DeleteHi Jo,
ReplyDeleteNice to see my entry made it on your list. I hope something great comes out of it.
Have fun with this crazy contest.
David
