Congratulations to Miranda! Your book has been tweeted, shared on Pinterest, added to my Goodreads TBR for the event, and shared on Facebook.

Congratulations to Kait! Your book has been tweeted, shared on Pinterest, added to my Goodreads TBR for the event, and shared on Facebook.

Congratulations to Jenn! Your book has been tweeted, shared on Pinterest, added to my Goodreads TBR for the event, and shared on Facebook.

I have to share some of the responses from the question I asked yesterday: What do you like most about the event? Here are the answers:

Finding new authors and the interaction between all of us.
Feeling connected to other authors.
Checking out the pitches! I like the exposure to new authors.
Is it wrong to say that I saw the graphic of the woman with the hair and the gifts and just had to go see what was going on?
That it is something new every day.
The giveaways.
Reading all the great pitches and adding books from the event to my TBR list.
Adding new books to my TBR list that I might not have known about otherwise!
The variety of authors and books.
Finding new authors & new books to read! Thank you very much, Jo!
Winning! LOL

There will be no pitches today. Sadly, I'm down to the last few samples and have to announce the final list tomorrow (won't have time to read anything new). But! I announce the final list tomorrow morning AND we get to find out who won the Kindle HD7! Be sure you come on back to see if it was you.

Folks who bought books to review: Please, leave us the titles and your blog's name in the comments today so we can find the reviews once they go up! If you don't have a blog, all good! Just tell us what books you plan to review from this event over 2015.

If you haven't joined my 2015 Review Team, do that here.

**Kindly remember, there's no guarantee your book will be reviewed by me. You will get a purchase if your sample interests me, and I'll try my best to read it. But if I find I can't give it more than 2 stars, I won't write the review. I've had a few I couldn't finish and it led to me not giving a review.**

Now it's time to announce the winners from yesterday's giveaway!

For the last day, your sponsors are: author J. L. Wilson and me!

If you aren't listed as a review winner, you still have time! Don't despair! Good luck, everyone!

Be SURE and return tomorrow when I'll announce the final list of review books and the winner of the Kindle HD 7!

Well, that's all for today, folks! Until next time, WRITE ON!

Jo

  1. Jo, I'm not a big commenter, but I always enjoy seeing what's on your blog. Truth be told, I was intrigued by the colorful circles and then hung around the read your content and then started to learn from what you wrote... That's the way it's supposed to happen, right? Well, you're doing a great job. Take care and have a wonderful holilday.

    1. Yes ma'am :D I'm glad you hang around, Rebecca. I just hope my posts are helpful in some small way. Hearing how much you liked my review from last year's book made me smile, as did the comment about the image drawing you in. Thanks for the kudos, and Merry Christmas :)

    1. Thanks for taking part, and congratulations on your win. So into the sample, I smacked my Kindle at the end. LOL! Always a good sign. This year was so different from last year. But, I'll talk about why on Tuesday of next week. :) I hope you gained many adds to TBRs over the span of the 12 days. Merry Christmas!

  3. Oh yay! You'll have lots of reading to do in the new year :) I will be mostly writing but I'll have to make sure to make time to read, I slacked this year! I usually read like 200 books...but I didn't even do half that, Lol. And I was busy finishing and publishing a book yesterday, so I didn't answer the questions, but I LOVE this event! And not because you reviewed my book, but because you give everyone an opportunity! That's just amazing...as are you :P Good luck to everyone, and see you tomorrow ;)

    1. Thanks, C. S.! Don't beat yourself up over it. I only pledged to read between 20 & 40, so I'm gonna shoot for just the books from this event. I have other authors I follow and love, so theirs will get stuck in the cracks between :) Don't overdo it. Reading is supposed to be fun, you know? :) I like to pay it forward. Makes me happy. Thanks again for the kudos and for attending and participating this year!

    2. Oh, absolutely. The 200 books was natural...I can read a 400 page book in less than 3 hours, Lol. Writing just made it so I never have time to do it as much :) but of course I love reading, so I'll have to carve out time to make sure I do it.

    3. o.O Natural, you say? Oi! I think I'd end up forgetting everything if I read that fast LOL! Yes ma'am! Get to reading. haha :)

  8. I'm so glad I saw this event on GoodReads and joined in. I am always drawn to Independent authors - I find them to be a fun, friendly bunch with unlimited talent. I have learned so much about the Indie world that I didn't know before and gained many tips on writing effective reviews by being here. If I read a well-written book that really clicks with me, I feel I should try to return the favor by writing an honest, unbiased review that reflects everything I like about it. Especially since I fully realize now how important a solid review can be to an independent author. I do not have a blog (yet), so I normally post on Amazon and GoodReads (where you can reach me under AuntieK3). I would like to thank Jo for this enjoyable, educational event, the giveaways and allowing readers to participate, and all the amazing authors for their pitches. It has been a great experience!

I have bought, read and written a review for The Tree of Everlasting Knowledge by Christine Nolfi and posted it on GoodReads (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/761004363) and Amazon (it is the newest review, by AuntieK3).

On my list to read and most likely review for 2015 from this event:

Bound by Duty by Stormy Smith
    Dry Stories by Kate Baggott
From the Wreckage by Michele G Miller
Kinetic: Book One of the Kinetic Trilogy by C.M. Zimmer
Facade: A Vampire Love Story by R.M. Webb
    Siren by Jennifer Melzer
Destiny Finds Her by Miranda Lynn
At One's Beast by Rachel Barnard
To Get Me To You by Kait Nolan
    Unseen by Stephanie Erickson
    Refuge by Violet Haze
Kindling Flames: Gathering Tinder by Julie Wetzel
Elle Burton and the Reflective Portals by Peggy McAloon
Sugar Baby Lies by C.S. Janey

It's going to be a great New Year of reading - thanks everyone. Happy Holidays!

  9. Jo, this was so fun! You hooked me from last year. As I'm overhauling my first and second book and planning on pitching it to a new-ish publisher, I didn't enter my works this year. BUT I plan on releasing quite a few books next year, so hopefully I can pitch to you during 12 Days of Review Requests in 2015! Thanks for being so awesome! And Happy Holidays :)

  10. Oh thank you so much Jo! I got felled by a cold and have been offline for the last several days, so I missed this. So excited! And I hope you enjoy it. :)
