Congratulations to Stormy! Your book has been tweeted, shared on Pinterest, added to my Goodreads TBR for the event, and shared on Facebook

PITCH your book in the comments. Put the LINK to your book in the Rafflecopter form. Tell me why you think I'll like it, why I should check it out, and a little about the story. DO NOT give me a synopsis. I can get that from Amazon. Make it personal or make it funny. I care not. I'll be grabbing a sample of every book pitched and go from there.

AUTHOR ONLY entries will be removed from Rafflecopter before a winner is chosen. If you want a shot at winning the prizes, put BOTH in the box asking how you're entering.

I strongly encourage you to check out the works of your fellow Indie authors. Chat in the comments, talk each other up, make friends!

Book reviewers! You're welcome to play along, too! Meet and greet authors. Get new books to read and review. It only works if we all work together.

If you haven't joined my 2015 Review Team, do that here

**Kindly remember, there's no guarantee your book will be reviewed by me. You will get a purchase if your sample interests me, and I'll try my best to read it. But if I find I can't give it more than 2 stars, I won't write the review. I've had a few I couldn't finish and it led to me not giving a review.**

Now it's time to announce the winners from yesterday's giveaway!

  1. Okay… here it goes:

When you're a 900 year old fairy, going back to high school can be difficult. In Nissa: a contemporary fairy tale, Nissa is a Fairy Godmother about to meet her first mission, Vicky, a senior in high school who is dealing with bullies and low self-esteem. As if trying to figure out the workings of a teenage girls mind isn't difficult enough, when Nissa meets Vicky's older brother Levi, she feels all the signs that she's met the person she's fated for… but, that's impossible. How could a fairy and a human be meant for each other, and what will happen when the truth of what Nissa is comes to light?

    1. My one-click finger is obviously confused as hell. I could've sworn I had this on my UtopYA TBR for next year. But I just looked... I don't seem to. :( Grrrrr. Well, grabbing the sample and getting to it, I suppose :P Dear me...

    3. I did have it. Found it! :) Knew I had that book. When I went to Amazon, they were all like, you purchased this book on blah, blah, blah. I was like, BOOYAH! Thought my memory was slipping. Nope. All good. :D

  2. Main characters get all the glory, today I want to share three supporting characters that are just as fun. Todd is Jami's best friend, travel agent, and stylist. Oh and he's gay and a hoot. If it weren't for Todd Jami would live in yoga pants and sweatshirts and probably never leave her apartment. Then there is Drea, a shape shifting gypsy. Though the poor girl doesn't turn into anything cool like a wolf or cat. Nope small hamster like creature is her shifting fate. And finally we have Argus, he's of the 4 legged variety, a wolf hound with a selective obedience disorder. All play instrumental roles in Jami's life. You'll have to read the book to find out more.

    1. Sounds like those supporting characters need stories of their own! :)

    2. Those characters are so full of fun! I'll have you know, it took me six times of requesting a sample for it to deliver to my device. LOL! But perhaps that was fate's way of letting me know I needed to pay attention to it :) Thanks for coming back and what an awesome pitch, Miranda!

    3. Kristina, they are patiently waiting to tell their side. Jo, hate that it took so long, glad you were persistent! Let's hope you were destined to read it! LOL

    5. I thought this was just another paranormal fantasy romance until I read today's pitch. Now I'm interested! A hamster? Nice! (I love hamsters).

  3. Evangeline never thought a giraffe would save her life.

The car accident killed her father, drove her mother to the bottle, and left her with scars so deep she thought she'd never heal. Her punishment for being the driver that fateful day would be her salvation.

At Kindred Hides Wildlife Preserve, Evangeline is immersed in a world filled with amazing animals, painful reminders of the life she lost, and an annoyingly charming keeper who insists on trying to make her smile. But, more, she is forced to confront her grief, and the startling truths that come with it. The truth that sometimes family walks on all four legs. Sometimes there is redemption from strangers who become friends. And, sometimes, showing moments of fragility isn't such a bad thing after all.

  4. When the party is over, what will be left of your life? If you've been hitting the bottle too hard, they answer might be nothing. Or, you might have a friend or relative willing to help you rebuild. One story at a time. That is the love that brought Dry Stories to life.

  5. Hiding is all Moira has done since the accidents. Crippled by fear and guilt, her world is small and lonely until a stranger tries to kill her. Everything she has ever known is tested when she is rescued and taken to a new world…a whole new planet…and told that she is the only one who can save them all. Twins Airi and Belamar are the heirs to the Skylander empire. Their mother had sacrificed herself to bring them and Moira together to free THE UNKNOWN SUN and stop her half brother, a fallen god, and the rebels threatening to destroy the last remaining Skylander stronghold, The Citadel. Belamar’s compassion, Airi’s loyalty and Moira’s courage are all that stand between them and a secret thousands of years in the making. Can she and the twins free the gods of Skyfall and stop a revolution? Can she solve the mystery or is the secret far more dangerous than anyone ever believed?

    1. Yes, please! These kinds of books rock. YA is so awesome. Thank you, Cheryl, for taking the time to pitch your book to us. Love stories with twins, too :) Welcome to the awesome!

    2. I'm a YA writer, too, but I do paranormal urban fantasy. And I'm a dude, which seems kind of rare in the YA genre. Maybe it's just my perception. But I love sci-fi. Any kind of genre fiction, really. Gonna have to check this one out.

    3. Ummmmm, I have two names for you, dude: Eoin Colfer and Rick Riordan. Both male, both YA authors, both wildly, insanely successful. Never think you're not just as amazing as everyone else because of your gender. :P Welcome back!

    4. Thank you guys! YA gets so little credit sometimes! Paired with fantasy or science fiction, heck any genre, and magic happens! I would definitely love to read more from male authors too!!

    5. Then you should check out The Heart Thief in the list above :) Dude+YA! Young Adult has a strange reputation. Older people read it, yet it's geared toward younger folk. This is an ongoing topic of discussion amongst my peers.

      B. J. Sheldon wrote a rather interesting blog post on it recently. If you'd like to give it a read, here: https://bjsheldon.wordpress.com/2014/09/20/young-adult-books-and-the-not-so-young-adults-who-love-them/

      Enjoy :)

    6. Lol. Oh, I don't. :) And I wasn't saying there aren't any male YA writers, and those guys are certainly at the top. I was thinking about it recently, though, because I am seriously considering going to UtopYA 2015 as an exhibitor. But I saw a question on the FAQ that said something like "Are men allowed to attend UtopYA?" And I was like what? Why is that even a question? Anyway, a lot of great, strong female characters in YA fiction. I'd like to see more male protags, which is what I've tried to do with my book. Not that I want to see less female characters, though. I love female protags, too. Buffy all the way! I'm planning a series with a female lead after this current series is done. Sorry this is so longwinded. Don't mean to derail. Lol. Cheryl, I'm going to download your sample when I get home tonight.

    7. Good. :) OMG you're coming to UtopYA! How amazing! I think there are only Friday only spaces available at this point (exhibitor space goes stupid fast).

But, here's a link with the form: http://utopyacon.com/friday-only-exhibitor-space-now-available/

Just in case you wanna try. If you don't get a table, you should still come as a guest! Earlybird prices are NOW.

There are a few male authors on the list as exhibitors this year. UtopYA was created as a women's conference, that's why the question was asked.

I have a YA urban fiction with a male lead that should be done this year.

We're Indies. We can write what we want haha!

    8. Thank you! I really appreciate it! I wish I could go to UtopYA! I've been wanting to for years but time off and money always get in the way. Maybe in 2016?

  6. Hey Jo! I've decided to play and this is a story from my alter ego, Violet Haze!

Zee doesn't know who she is. Feeling safe inside a psych ward, she fantasies about one of her doctors sexy voice and nice hands while refusing to face the truth of how she ended up there. This story goes starts with a glimpse at what sent her there, to present day, and slowly reveals what sent her spiraling to the point she loses her memory.

I can't really say more than that, because anything else will honestly ruin the surprises!!!
