Happy Monday, everyone! :D EEK! I can't even tell you how amazing the upcoming month will be. If you've been a member of the blog for a while, you'll recall how I co-wrote a novel titled 7: The Seven Deadly Sins with the other members of the Ferocious 5. Well, strap in because we're putting it on sale for the first time EVER on August 25, 2017.
Here's what reviewers are saying:
5.0 out of 5 stars
Highly Recommend this book!
By SBurdorf on June 4, 2016
Format: Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
"When I sat down to read "The Seven Deadly Sins" I did so from a preconceived idea that I knew exactly what this book was about. WRONG. I had to discard my light treatment of this book the more I delved into the complexity of the characters and the stories. Each of the collaborators are authors I have read before and their touch, had I not known their names, would still have been recognizable to me, and that is a good thing. Like a well-rehearsed quintet they take the reader on a journey that is unequaled in anything I have previously read."

Best read of 2016!!!

"Author Casey Bond is the only contributor that I know. I haven't read writings from any of the other authors. But this book and the stories, freaking genius!!!"
5.0 out of 5 stars
"I loved 7: The Seven Deadly Sins. Loved. It. This book is one of the
best books that I have had the pleasure of reading in a very long time,
and coming from a person who reads voraciously, that is saying a great
deal!" ~ Chris Fischer for Readers' Favorite

Happy Tuesday, good people of the blogosphere! Today, I have a super amazing deal to share with you all. I've talked before about the amazingness that's the new War and Pieces ~ Frayed Fairy Tales books, but now they're available in one awesome boxed set! All ten seasons. Let's get to the details!
Title: War and Pieces ~ Frayed Fairy Tales
Authors: Ferocious 5 (Tia Silverthorne Bach, N. L. Greene, Kelly Risser, and Jo Michaels)
Genre: Upper YA Fantasy Romance
Length: 312k words
Buy Link: Amazon $9.99
Blurb:
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there were zombies…
That’s how it all started. Authors have created a major problem with stories like Cinder, The Dark Queen, and Asleep, and it’s wreaking havoc here in Ever After. Our queens are fighting for their lives.
Rather like Mother Nature, keeper of the fine balance that’s life in your world, tales that begin with “Once upon a time” were never meant to be messed with.
Now, Ariel is underwater with all the defenses she’s been launching, Aurora hasn’t slept in weeks, and Rapunzel is tangled in… Well, I can’t even begin to tell you.
Rather than try, I’ll let you see for yourself. You and I will talk again afterward—if I survive long enough. So, as our fateful story begins:
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away…
~~~~~~~
What are you waiting for? Are you excited?
Well, that's all for today, folks! Until next time, WRITE ON!
War and Pieces ~ Frayed Fairy Tales - Update and Information
Happy Tuesday, everyone! Lookit! I'm here! *grin* So, today, I'm going to share with you an update and a couple of awesome teasers for the upcoming War and Pieces ~ Frayed Fairy Tales releases. I'm also going to explain the construct (it's different, and it's sooooo exciting). I'm still having a hard time believing we've pulled it off. Let's get going, shall we?
First, I'll explain the release schedule and how we broke the books down with who wrote what.
War and Pieces is a serial series. There are ten seasons with three episodes in each. I heard that collective gasp, but stay with me. Each episode is only 10k words long. That means we'll be handing over 10k bite-sized pieces at a time, every other day. Our release schedule is crazy with Season 1: Episode 1 releasing on 4/24, and the others following at a rapid pace through the end of June.
Together, the whole set of tales clock in at around 310k words. We realized that was a lot, so we broke it down into easy-to-digest chunks. Yes, it's ALL WRITTEN. We didn't want to release the first one until we were ready to publish them all, and we wanted to do it quickly so no one got bored or forgot the first story by the time they reached the last.
Here's how we broke down the writing:
Season 1 - Rose Red's tale - by Tia Silverthorne Bach and N. L. Greene
Season 2 - Ariel's tale - by Jo Michaels and Kelly Risser
Season 3 - Rapunzel's tale - by Kelly Risser
Season 4 - Mulan's tale - by Jo Michaels and Tia Silverthorne Bach
Season 5 - Cinderella's tale - by Tia Silverthorne Bach
Season 6 - Hansel and Gretel's tale - by N. L. Greene and Jo Michaels
Season 7 - Tiger Lily's tale - by Jo Michaels
Season 8 - Jasmine's tale - by Kelly Risser and N. L. Greene
Season 9 - Aurora's tale - by N. L. Greene
Season 10 - Ninfa's tale - by Tia Silverthorne Bach and Kelly Risser
Our stories happen after the happily ever after. When paranormal creatures begin invading the realms these women live in, they're off to battle once again. But not always as princesses. Some of them have risen to the status of Queen, and some rise to that level within the story. Some have children, and some are still trying, but all are regal and intimidating.
As a look back, here are the covers:
Can you figure out the paranormal creatures?
And the book trailer:
I do hope you're all ready. Our first release is Monday! Yes, we're nervous, but I think you'll love the stories.
Teasers! These were made by the always awesome Jaci Chaney (click to view larger).
Our coloring competition ended yesterday, and the entries are fantastic! We'll be launching public voting Monday as well, so be sure you come on back for information on where you can give your opinion on which is the best.
If you haven't pre-ordered book one, you can do so for just $0.99 on allllllll ebook platforms. Here are the links:
Kindle - Preorder
Smashwords - Preorder
Barnes and Noble - Preorder
I can't even convey how excited I am.
New from the Ferocious Five - Authors of Fractured Glass and 7
OMG it's hump-day! If you make it to lunch today, that means you'll have made it halfway through the workweek! Hang in there. I know you can do it.
Today, I'm telling you all a little about the Ferocious 5 (how we met, and how you may find our fan group on Facebook) and teasing you about our upcoming project. Ready? Let's get going!
As you all may know, I write with a group of four other women. I'll introduce you here really quickly, and then we'll move on to how we started writing together (clicking their names will take you to their Facebook pages).
Casey L. Bond - Our marketing, bad-ass trailer making, social media dominating sweetie.
Kelly Risser - Our romantic, motivating, killer swag master darling.
N. L. Greene - Our enthusiastic, party planning like a boss, keeping everyone on task sweetheart.
Tia Silverthorne Bach - Our no-nonsense editing, bad-ass accounting, pep-talking dearest.
Me? I do the art! Oh yeah, baby. Groovy. (That was to be read in an Austin Powers voice. Seriously, go back and read it again the right way.)
But the one thing ALL these ladies have in common is: They're all amazing writers. I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to work with them. Each and every one brings something special to the table.
I found them by putting out a call for entries to an anthology. Itching to do something different, I proposed a collection of novellas (no one was doing anything of the sort back then) rather than short stories. They all sent me a writing sample, and it grew from there.
What we ended up with was far beyond anything I'd hoped for.
We met face-to-face for the first time at UtopYA (now Utopia--tickets for 2017 here) 2014 to brainstorm our first collaborative. Many of us had never seen one another, but that one meeting forged a bond that's lasted through two full-length novels, Fractured Glass and 7. For some reason, we just clicked.
We've won awards.
We've been there through ups and downs in life.
We've become very close friends.
We even went as far as to name ourselves, get a logo, and form a fan group over on Facebook. Join us!
When we wrote Fractured Glass, I wondered how in the hell we'd ever top that. Then we wrote 7, and I was positive we'd written the best thing ever (seriously, it's that good). Now, our new project, while fun, stands to be the most amazing thing we'll have accomplished as a team.
It's going to be a lot of work, but I promise you, it'll be FUN for you, as the reader, too!
I'm not going to reveal the title just yet, but I am going to tell you that you've never read anything like it. It's totally unique, but it's also reader interactive.
I can't wait to share the details with you.
For now, why not check out the trailer for 7 and listen to an interview we all did with the one and only Ethan Gregory! You'll hear more about us, and you'll get some insider scoop.
Are you excited? What are you hoping to see out of us this time?
Well, that's all for today, folks! Until next time, WRITE ON!
Me? I do the art! Oh yeah, baby. Groovy. (That was to be read in an Austin Powers voice. Seriously, go back and read it again the right way.)
But the one thing ALL these ladies have in common is: They're all amazing writers. I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to work with them. Each and every one brings something special to the table.
I found them by putting out a call for entries to an anthology. Itching to do something different, I proposed a collection of novellas (no one was doing anything of the sort back then) rather than short stories. They all sent me a writing sample, and it grew from there.
What we ended up with was far beyond anything I'd hoped for.
We met face-to-face for the first time at UtopYA (now Utopia--tickets for 2017 here) 2014 to brainstorm our first collaborative. Many of us had never seen one another, but that one meeting forged a bond that's lasted through two full-length novels, Fractured Glass and 7. For some reason, we just clicked.
We've won awards.
We've been there through ups and downs in life.
We've become very close friends.
We even went as far as to name ourselves, get a logo, and form a fan group over on Facebook. Join us!
When we wrote Fractured Glass, I wondered how in the hell we'd ever top that. Then we wrote 7, and I was positive we'd written the best thing ever (seriously, it's that good). Now, our new project, while fun, stands to be the most amazing thing we'll have accomplished as a team.
It's going to be a lot of work, but I promise you, it'll be FUN for you, as the reader, too!
I'm not going to reveal the title just yet, but I am going to tell you that you've never read anything like it. It's totally unique, but it's also reader interactive.
I can't wait to share the details with you.
For now, why not check out the trailer for 7 and listen to an interview we all did with the one and only Ethan Gregory! You'll hear more about us, and you'll get some insider scoop.
Are you excited? What are you hoping to see out of us this time?
Well, that's all for today, folks! Until next time, WRITE ON!
Audiobook Announcement
Happy Friday, everyone! I know you've probably all been wondering where the heck I've been, but I had some life to deal with, and it's been pretty rough on my time. Funny, but no one ever expects life to walk out of the shadows and slap the ever-loving crap out of you.
I bow to the Fates. You've put me in check, ladies!
Anywho, speaking of Fates...
I have some super exciting news!
Cherry Hill Publishing (links to their Facebook page) - Publishers who produce great audiobooks - has picked up the rights to two books I'm involved in. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this is, but I sure can show you!
Up first, 7: The Seven Deadly Sins
There's no audio sample for that one yet, but it should be hitting us any day now.
Second, Emancipation (Pen Pals and Serial Killers - Story One)
SQUEEEEEEEE!!
How freaking exciting is that?
So, yeah, bookmark the site, give Cherry Hill Publishing's Facebook page a like, and get ready to get crazy with some audio!
New Release - 7
From the authors who brought you the award-winning novel Fractured Glass, comes a new kind of anthology.
7 is unlike anything you've ever read. That's why the blurb is so different. It's not a good read; it's an experience. Is there such a thing as redemption? Find out today.
If you'd rather hold a smelly good paperback in your hands, here's the link you want!
As a surprise, we did a radio interview on A Daily Cup of Jo with the awesome Ethan Gregory (one of the ARC readers for 7). You can check it out here.
Join us on Facebook for release day fun! We're rocking it out all day here!
7
Seven marks upon a wall.
Tom may rise, but he may fall.
Through five lives, no one dares mention,
of the sin for which he seeks redemption.
Fates will meet, and you will see,
what will thus become of he.
