PITCH your book in the comments. Put your LINK in the Rafflecopter entry form. Tell me why you think I'll like it, why I should check it out, and a little about the story. DO NOT give me a synopsis. I can get that from Amazon. Make it personal or make it funny. I care not. I'll be grabbing a sample of every book pitched and go from there.

Please specify if you're entering as an author, a reader, or both. Author only entries will be removed before a winner is chosen.

IF you have a pre-order, please upload a SAMPLE to Google Drive and give people with the link permission to view. Put that link in the Rafflecopter form.

I strongly encourage you to check out the works of your fellow Indie authors. Chat in the comments, talk each other up, make friends!

Book reviewers! You're welcome to play along, too! Meet and greet authors. Get new books to read and review. It only works if we all work together.

**Kindly remember, there's no guarantee your book will be reviewed by me. You will get a purchase if your sample interests me, and I'll try my best to read it. But if I find I can't give it more than 2 stars, I won't write the review. I've had a few I couldn't finish and it led to me not giving a review.**

Now it's time to announce the winners from yesterday's giveaway!

  1. Morning Jo. It's Friday!!!!!

Shifter Fates - Elle's Claim. Seems like the title says it all, right? It's about some shifters and a woman named Elle. Only it's more than that. Yes Elle will stake her claim but is that before or after she finds out her True Mates secret? Or before they find out hers? Elle is a fighter and she doesn't care who you are, friend, enemy or mate. If you wrong her you'll feel her wrath either in the form of her fist or a sword. But as strong as she is, she also has weaknesses. Ones that someone she loves and holds dear exploits. As self-sufficient as she's been for over a millennium it turns out that all she was raised to believe was either a lie or that someone more powerful then herself has tampered with Fate and now nothing is as it seems. Not her mates, not their mom, not even her uncle. There's a war brewing that involves hybrid wolves known as Shades created by merging a shifter with a daemon. What remains to be seen, even with Elle's visions, is who is behind it and what do they have to gain?

    1. Happy Friday, Laila!! :) Shifters? Yes, please! I do love a good shifter novel--especially one with a bada$$ chick. You know I'm all about the strong women! Hybrid wolves, too? Okay, I'm digging into this one NOW. :) Thank you for pitching again! SQUEEEEEEE!!!

  3. Break My Bones - Why will you like this? A few reasons. First, a wish is granted and that, of course, opens the door for all sorts of chaos! Second, Crissy is a kicka$$ girl who literally fights for her life, pulls herself up from the darkness, and shines bright in the end. You'll be cheering for her on every page. Third, there's a hippie-genie who will make you want to stay in her magical world forever.

  4. The Trojan Project - Like the titles says, this is a read about a project devised secretly by the UK Government. But what they didn't plan was the fact that it would be used by a jealous man to get back the woman he loved. Once Trojan is unleashed in the North of England, there is no going back. The Prime Minister sets out a plan to cover-up the incident ordering troops into the area to kill anyone trying to escape and spread the news..
Believing her husband is dead, Sarah and her children are forced to flee for their lives. But will they escape for the terror in the hills. The story is a roller-coaster read from start to finish.

  5. Congrats, Sahara! Your book looks like such an interesting take on the Arthur legend!! I was actually named after his sister, Morgana le Faye. (No joke. That's my full name, haha!) I'll definitely be checking this out. <3

I'm pitching my first novel, Free to Fly. I'm a huge fan of raw emotion. That's the basis of this book. But I'm also a firm believer that there is humor to found in even the worst situations, and the best types of people are those who can find it. As such, while my main character, Zoe's, journey is difficult and filled with change, you'll also find the odd conversation about whether dolphins enjoy oral and random Lost Girl references. I blended together laughter and tears for a well-rounded, engaging story that is just the kind of book I, as a reader, would want to read.

    1. Hiya, Morgan!! Welcome back. Raw emotion is such a difficult thing to nail, but what a great name for an MC! A wise person once told me: Write the story you want to read. That advice has been with me since. I can't wait to share in your vision :) Thank you for coming back, and good luck, sweets!

    2. Thank you Morgan, and I think that's so cool you were named after Arthur's sister. :) And Jo, thank you for picking my book. I sincerely hope you enjoy the story.

  6. Happy Friday! Yay! My pitch today is for Awakening which is book 2 to The Lost Heir that I pitched yesterday. It continues the story with Darrak trying to find his way in Dragonath, but he's betrayed by two of the companions sworn to protect him and discovers the person he thought was the enemy is really just a pawn to a Hellborn returned from the dead.

AND WE MEET A DRAGON! My dragons aren't the typical greedy, fire breathing dragons. Each color has different abilities (some can even swim!) but they're all empathetic and use their magic to manipulate the earth when they fight. You'd think the arrival of such a fierce ally would help Darrak, but it doesn't. Dragons were hunted for sport and almost became extinct. They were granted protection by Darrak's ancestors but it's been so long since they were seen, no one even knows they ever existed. So, not only does he have to convince everyone he's the rightful heir, he's got to deal with the loss of two major assets of his company, and convince the world that Wystra (the dragon) is noble and isn't hell bent on eating them all!

    1. OMG A DRAGON!! YAYYYYYY!! Now, you know if I end up loving book one, I'll probably move on to book two. LOL! I'm getting through the samples, and I may or may not have loved yours. You'll find out ;) What a unique idea to have different dragons have different abilities. Reminds me of Dragon Heart kinda (the first one). Thank you SOSO much for pitching book 2, Andi! :) Welcome back!

  7. Good morning & happy Friday~

I am offering up Skeleton Dance, which is a short story (hope that is okay, I didn't note any page reqs in the rules, but I am pre-caffeine at the moment). This story is the result of being locked in a stark white room with no resources (no Internet, no dictionaries, no visual stimuli of any kind) for three hours, being given a prompt, and then being told to write a complete story. The result is an emotionally dark story focusing on the connection between a young girl and her grandmother -- and this grandma is not the kind who bakes apple pies. I recognize it's not everyone's cup of tea, but for anyone looking for something a little different, a little dark, Skeleton Dance can definitely fit that bill.

And just as a precaution (because the Comment As thing below is showing unknown even thought I am logged in as myself), this is me, C. Jai Ferry.

Thank you so much for pitching your book. I hope you have fun and mingle and mix and be with the other authors over the next few weeks :)

  8. Hello, Jo.
Day two seems like a good time to pitch book two in my Harper Falls series.
This is a story about a young woman who is fearless and totally kick-ass. She jumps from planes. She's a black belt in Karate. If it's fast she wants to drive it. Her career as a photographer has taken her all over the world from film festivals to war zones. When she fell in love for the first time she jumped in feet, and heart, first.
She's given a second chance at love but she has to deal with his PTSD and danger that has followed him to Harper Falls.
What I think you will love about Dani is her pro-active attitude. She doesn't wait around for life to happen. That includes getting the man she loves and taking care of villains.
If you are looking for a sexy emotional love story with strong women and amazing friendships, this is the book for you.
    Thanks for this great opportunity.

  9. Good morning everyone! So many great books on here! I am excited to take a look at these!

My pitch today is for Elements of a Broken Mind, the first book in the Clear Angel Chronicles. You get introduced to Psychic Clear Angel, who ends up pushing herself into a serial killer investigation in her small home town and meeting Detective Grant Anderson.
Although I list this under a psychic detective thriller, there is a lot of romantic tension.

I love writing about broken people, because I think we are all a little broken and seeing that lets us know we are normal. Seeing that broken people can find happiness also gives hope.

Looking forward to seeing the other entries for today!

  10. Good morning everyone and thank you Jo for allowing us this platform. Also congrats to all the winners from yesterday.

My pitch for today is for my new YA Chasing Clarity. This is the story of Mia Gerard an 18 year old woman who has lost the love of her life to a tragic accident. Mia is a promising dancer who has now lost the love of her life Leo Dancy. She is distraught without him and mourns on her own in her room in the city of Ann Arbor Michigan. Suddenly Mia is offered a chance to go to The New York Dance Academy of Performing Arts a school that she had deferred to after Leo dies. Mia is then whisked into The New York Life and begins to slowly come out of her shell where she meets new friends like Sandy. However then she meets handsome London Painter Henry Watson who completely throws Mia off her game.

I wrote this story to show how one character is able to carry herself after such a tragedy. Will she sink or swim and will she be able to Chase the clarity she needs.

  12. This is such a fun idea - but you're turning my TBR pile into a mountain!!! LOL!

My pitch: I'm pitching "Hereafter" the first novel in my contemporary paranormal Afterlife Series. Hereafter is about Irene Dunphy, a hot mess party-girl, who dies and finds herself stuck on earth as a ghost. Her options are to stay as a ghost or try to find a way to cross over to the other side, but Irene doesn't play but other people's rules and decides to try and find a way to be alive again. It's sort of a 50-50 mix of humorous/light-hearted Chick Lit and more somber Women's Fiction, all set in a Urban Fantasy setting. What's unique about the series (and what I loved about writing it) is that it contains elements of real afterlife mythology and ghost lore from almost every culture on earth with the base premise of "what if all the stories were true?"

  15. This is for My Rodeo Man.

Zach Kincaid was definitely not what Ashley was looking for – one more risk-taking, bad boy to add to that long list of jerks who kept breaking her heart. She was fed up. From here on out, bad boys need not apply. So how had this cocky, confident cowboy charmed his way into her affections? She sure wasn’t going to succumb without a fight.

Ashley Drayton looked like the typical, spoiled Southern Belle that made Zach turn tail and head for the hills. As a champion team roper on the rodeo circuit and ranch owner, he sure didn’t need the complications she would bring to his life. When he finally did settle down, he wanted a woman strong enough to stand beside him, not some debutant.

Can a rough and rugged cowboy live happily ever after with a sassy and sophisticated socialite?

  16. Hi Jo. Thanks so much for inviting me to the event!

My pitch is for Breeder, book 1 in The Arrow's Flight series, a YA Dystopian novel with a hint of faith.

A century after the world was decimated by a devastating war, only one village stands. Here, we meet, sixteen year old Kate. Born under the sign of the Archer, she is a girl with heart and spunk... and no choices. Fate has determined her future as a breeder, and even though she wants to believe something bigger than Fate controls this life, she has no proof. Despite her scary, short-lived rebellion, the Counsel's wishes are carried out, and Kate is dragged to the Pit and left with her mate. Ian is not what she expected. As the days pass, this frightened and agitated boy full of secrets, becomes more of a curiosty. A shaky beginning turns into a forbidden friendship that leads to Ian's escape, and the truth about Ian and the everything Kate's ever believed about her village comes crashing down around her. Will she be able to escape her destiny? Or will Fate squeeze every drop of hope dry?

  20. Jo, thank you so much for picking my book. I'm so thrilled!!. And I have to agree, there are a lot of really good books being pitched here. I already bought one and added another to my wish list. What I don't see here is a good horror book. So here's my pitch:

It Lives in the Basement. You know that creepy, scary feeling you get when going into a dark basement. Maybe there's a reason why. This story was written about a house that I lived in for many years. Part of the basement was a dirt floor, and I always thought there was a body buried in there somewhere. I hated going into the room. Shiver!! Anyway, this story takes place in that house. People have disappeared and now a mutilated body has been found. Detective John Carter has to find the killer, but he's being told by a fellow officer that its actual an ancient evil creature that was born in the house, and is now living in the sewers. Do they dare go after the creature, and if they do, who will survive? BTW, this book just earned a 5 star seal from Readers' Favorite.

  21. What a fun contest! Here's my pitch for The Dawn of Dae, Dae Portals Book 1. I'm apparently a rebel who breaks elevators for longer pitches. Don't mind the screwdriver... I wouldn't *really* break the elevator... really. >.>

The chance to attend college is just what Alexa Daegberht needs to break out of the mold of her caste. If she can become a Bach, she can escape the poverty she’s endured ever since her parents died when she was five. Only through education can she rise above her birth caste–and she knows it.

All of her plans fall to dust when she opens a portal within her refrigerator, turning her macaroni and cheese casserole into a sentient being. By dawn the next day, the mysterious dae have come to Earth to stay. Hundreds of thousands of people vanish into thin air, and as the days pass, the total of the missing number in the millions. Some say it’s the rapture of the Christian faith.

Alexa knows better: their dae ate them, leaving behind nothing more than dust as evidence of their hunger.

As one of the unawakened, she doesn’t have a dae, nor can she manifest any forms of magical powers. She’s lacking the innate knowledge of what the dae are and what they mean for the world. Now more than ever, she is an outsider. Her survival hinges on her ability to adapt to a world she no longer understands.

Unfortunately, one of the dae has taken notice of her, and he’ll stop at nothing to have her. Alexa’s problems pile up as she’s forced to pick her allegiances. Will she submit to the new ways of the world? Will she become some monster’s pawn? Or, against all odds, can she forge her own path and prove normal humans can thrive among those gifted with powers once the domain of fantasies and nightmares?

Hello again, Jo. :) Thank you for all that you do for us Indies, the support is beyond appreciated!!

Day two I am pitching my newest release, Holiday's Presence. It's a Contemporary Romance with very likable characters that I believe readers will fall in love with as I have. Holiday [Holli] is faced with news from her doctor that completely changes her life and she takes a couple chances that she wouldn't normally have in her life. She meets a handsome and charming man during her life-changing journey and things become something she's never experienced before. Holiday is a kind soul that deserves more than what she's been handed and Parker is just that for her.
There's some good, bad, and real incorporated in the story with a touch of steam and a healthy dose of romance.
I think you'll enjoy this story because it's one to get you in the spirit and prove that true love really does exist.
It's a short story but it does have depth.

Again, J.N. Sheats is also the book cover creator for this book... she's the best!

Thank you for taking the time to consider my novella!

  25. Hi, Jo and thank you for this opportunity.

I will be pitching my first adult fantasy novel, The Rise of Nazil. It is the first in my series with three completed works and one in progress. The Rise of Nazil was written over a decade ago. However, I was finally convinced to publish and am thrilled with that decision.
We begin in the lands of Faélondul.

The mysteries surrounding the inhabitants are many as is the intricate plot. The land of Faélondul is inhabited by humans, Nazilians, and other fascinating creatures. The Nazilians hold rule over the lands and brutalize the humans. Some of the treatment is savage as they take them as slaves. Led by the priestly caste called the Cha, the Nazilians are ruthless, feared, and cunning.

However, not all Nazilians are in line with their leader, the Zaxson, Draizeyn Vereux. And this is where the tale truly begins—with a choice.

Pentanimir is the First Chosen of Nazil and pledged to the Zaxson’s daughter. It is through him this epic journey manifests. When the Zaxson wages a war against the humans, only Pentanimir and others guided by the Guardians and Protectors rise against them. In doing so, some ancient myths and legends are proven true.

The love of the First Chosen and the human, Brahanu is the catalyst for the liberation of the lands. Will it also lead to its destruction?

The Rise of Nazil will transport you to another land with fascinating characters, worlds, and languages. The plot is detailed and engrossing. If you are a lover of adult high fantasy, Faélondul will take hold of you and not let go.

Thank you and great success to all.

    1. Welcome to the madness, Aaron! I do love high fantasy, and this sounds right in my wheelhouse. :) All great stories start with a choice, no? :) Excellent pitch, by the way. Thanks for stopping by and telling me about your novel. I do hope you have some fun over the next couple of weeks! :)
