PITCH your book in the comments. Put your LINK in the Rafflecopter entry form. Tell me why you think I'll like it, why I should check it out, and a little about the story. DO NOT give me a synopsis. I can get that from Amazon. Make it personal or make it funny. I care not. I'll be grabbing a sample of every book pitched and go from there.

Please specify if you're entering as an author, a reader, or both. Author only entries will be removed before a winner is chosen.

IF you have a pre-order, please upload a SAMPLE to Google Drive and give people with the link permission to view. Put that link in the Rafflecopter form.

I strongly encourage you to check out the works of your fellow Indie authors. Chat in the comments, talk each other up, make friends!

Book reviewers! You're welcome to play along, too! Meet and greet authors. Get new books to read and review. It only works if we all work together.

**Kindly remember, there's no guarantee your book will be reviewed by me. You will get a purchase if your sample interests me, and I'll try my best to read it. But if I find I can't give it more than 2 stars, I won't write the review. I've had a few I couldn't finish and it led to me not giving a review.**

Now it's time to announce the winners from yesterday's giveaway!

  1. Day 5 yay! Today I'm pitching the 3rd book in my YA fantasy series. The Geneva Project - Lies.

Truth, Secrets and Lies - oh my! Geneva and friends find themselves lost in a web of Lies as they return to the Troian Center - now run my a wealthy patron hiding behind his own mask of lies. Magic, mysteries, secret societies and high school politics run ramped in the 3rd installment of The Geneva Project. With the Hunger Games style tournament looming and gala of Yule Ball proportions threatening to make Geneva choose between coming clean or living the lies she's told to save the people she cares about most, you won't want to miss this action packed fantasy.

  2. Hello Jo,

I am really enjoying this event, but for some reason I don't get notified of comments! I need to figure out how to fix that! To answer your question from yesterday about the Clear Angel Chronicles, I have done a lot of research on both the serial killer aspect and the detective aspect. I am a huge fan of shows like Criminal Minds, ID discovery, Bones, Law & Order, documentaries on serial killers, unsolved mysteries, etc. I also have several friends in law enforcement and got their advice on certain aspects because I know that we as writers take a lot of liberties! I will be honest, I also took quite a few liberties because my main character IS a psychic! But I was careful to keep it pretty grounded. Even when I took liberties, I got the ok from my beta readers that it was at least plausible.

I feel ya on being careful not to pick too many. But I have found that books never expire!

I am looking forward to seeing your thriller! Like I said, I gobble that stuff right up!

    1. I have to tell you, I adore psychic crime fighters. Had a year long love affair with a series a friend of mine wrote. Man, was it amazing! I, also, love those shows. I got into Behind the Screams on Reelz, but I think they discontinued it (shame, because Ted Bundy was interesting). LOL! :) Thanks for popping back in to answer me. LOVE THIS PARTY!

  4. Hey Jo! I missed a couple days. :( Isn't cold season fun? Haha!

You know those "Alpha male" types? The "slam, bam, thank you, ma'am" sort that are so prevalent in books? Yeah, Logan Clarke is nothing like that. He's sweet, sarcastic, and a little steamy with a dimple that can make you lose your train of thought. However, that IS Zoe's standard operating procedure. She refuses to sleep with the same man twice, and rejects relationships as chains that hold you down and smother you. So, you'll imagine her surprise when Logan walks into her life and kinda just... refuses to leave. You know how it goes. When emotions get involved, things get messy. And sometimes people get hurt.

  5. Happy Day 5, everyone!

Hope you're all having as much fun as I am. I've never taken part in anything like this before. :)

Well, Jo, if my hot, sexy Vikings with really big swords didn't entice you, maybe a quote by Canada's National Newspaper, The Globe and Mail, might sway your vote. I recently received a fantastic review in New and Notable Fiction:

"Avelynn, is a must-read for Diana Gabaldon fans – but also for anyone in the mood to escape into an enchanting, romantic world vividly portrayed... Campbell writes about Alrik and Avelynn’s star-crossed love affair in a gorgeous, breathless manner that should cement her status as a Canadian author to watch."

But if that still didn't work, you've left me no choice but to pull out the big... er... well, here's a peek at Alrik and Avelynn together for the first time. :)

“Having trouble sleeping?” He appeared above me, blocking the stars from view.

“A little,” I replied, my heart pounding at the fright from his sudden appearance.

    “Why?”

“Thinking too much,” I said. He stood in profile to the fire, and I watched the shadows dance across his bold features. “Are you having trouble sleeping too?” I asked, trying to ignore the fact that he was breathtakingly close, and that we were completely alone—the trees, the moon, and stars our only witness.

    “Yes.” His voice was husky.

My body stirred. “Thinking too much?”

He sat down on the ground beside me. “Thinking about you.”

I swallowed, my throat gone dry.

“I want you.” He placed his hands on either side of my waist and leaned over top of me. His fierce gaze sent waves of heat and lightning coursing through my body.

    :D
    In gratitude,
    Marissa xo

    1. Marissa. Oh, Marissa. You've captured my heart with your feisty, salty young woman. I can't properly divulge how much I love her already. :) Someone who stands up for others when they need an ally? Yes. I want to hug her until she squeals. :) Your prose is beautifully written. Very nice. Thank you SOSO much for pitching your book.

  7. Hey Jo,

I wanted to thank you once again for this chance for all of us and best of luck to everyone.

here is my pitch day 5 for Chasing Clarity.

What happens when you lose the person you loved the most in the world and are all left to pick up all the pieces? This is what happens to 18 year old Mia Gerard. Mia who had planned to go off and become a famous dancer in New York plans are stalled when she loses her love Leo Dancy in a tragic car accident. They both had planned so much. Now all of what they had is gone. Taken. Mia is miserable and sinks into a depression.
Then on opportunity arises and she is asked to attend the New York Dance Academy of Performing Arts and moves to New York for a chance to try and rebuild her life. She meets new friends and then encounters UK painter Henry Watson which totally changes everything. How will Mia react? I hope you will check out Chasing Clarity.

Thank you Kelly Risser for the amazing Prize!

  8. Hey Jo, here's my pitch for Confetti Confidential: Annabel's Wedding:
For Viv's family, nothing ever comes easy. A warm, engaging and charming read from the author of THEY DO, I DON'T, the first in the Confetti Confidential series. For fans of Kathy Lette, Sophie Kinsella, Marian Keyes and Helen Fielding.

After the breakdown of her marriage and her life, Viv has finally found happiness with Tom. But, can things really stay so perfect?

With the planning for Annabel's wedding underway, Genevieve is distracted by family bickering and an unexpected life-altering discovery. With Annabel threatening to cancel her wedding and Julia hiding a dark secret, her life once again descends into the perfect mix of hilarious chaos. Will the sisters be able to sort everything out and get their happy endings?

Annabel's wedding is a tale of sisterhood, relationships and learning to find happiness in spite of the sometimes crazy hand you're dealt.

    Thanks xx
